Water/oil repellent and stain protection
ProtectGuard® Stucco is the leading product for all-round protection for coatings based on plaster, lime or cement with or without the addition of organic binder.
Designed by the Research and Development Department of Guard Industry, ProtectGuard® Stucco is an ecological revolutionary water-borne product, non toxic, solvent-free, silicone-free which is intented to protect stucco, marmorino and marmorino lustro, etc against water and stains. ProtectGuard® Stucco allows a delay in the ageing process and facilitates maintenance.
ProtectGuard® Stucco is an impregnating product, non filmmaking whilst the substrate also remains permeable to air and water vapour. Completely colourless after application; it modifies neither the aspect nor the nature of the treated substrate. Moreover, it perfectly resists UV and does notyellow over time.
ProtectGuard® Stucco is ideal for the protection of stucco, Venetian stucco, marmorino… and all coatings based on plaster, lime or cement. It can be used inside and outside on vertical surfaces. For horizontal surfaces, we recommend the use of ProtectGuard® Wet Look Semi Gloss Finish.

Apply using a brush.
Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water.
  • Apply the product to a surface that is clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry.
  • Wait until the lime is perfectly carbonated so that the pH has fallen back
  • Use neat, do not dilute.
  • Always carry out a preliminary test.
  • The treated surface should be impregnated to saturation point in two applications ‘wet-on-wet’.
  • Do not over apply, eliminate any exceeding product before drying.
  • Apply from the bottom-up.
  • Drying time: 24 hours.
  • Optimum effectiveness obtained after 7 days.
  • Physical state at 20 °C: Liquid.
  • Appearence: Uncoloured.
  • Odour: None.
  • pH: 8 ± 0.5.
  • Boiling point [°C]: 100 °C.
  • Density: 1.01 ± 0.01.
  • Solubility in water [vol/vol]: total.
  • Flash point [°C]: Not applicable.
Coverage depends on the porosity of the material. the figures below should be used only as a general guideline: 2 to 4 m2 / litre for two applications.

  • Keep in a dry place (between 5°C and 30°C).
  • Storage: 12 months following the production date when kept in the original unopened container.
Environment-friendly product:
  • Water-based product.
  • Petroleum solvent and silicone free.
  • Non hazardous and non toxic.
  • Biodegradable > 70%*.
  • VOC < 52 g/l*.
  • Remove all atmospheric pollution-related dirt from all surfaces to be treated before starting the treatment.
  • For best results it is essential that ProtectGuard® Stucco is used when the temperature of the substrates is between 10°C and 30°C.
  • Do not apply during rain or in very hot weather. Air temperature between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Do not dilute or mix with any other product.
  • We recommend maintaining regularly the surface to keep its new look.
  • Respiratory protection: Under normal conditions of use where adequate ventilation is available, no special respiratory protection equipment is needed.
  • Hand protection: Wear latex gloves. Skin protection: No special protective clothing or skin protection is required under normal conditions of use.
  • Eye protection: If there is a real risk of splashing, wear protective goggles.
  • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.
